Hello, my name is Cas-Sandra Mobley. I am a native of Bradenton, Florida. I attended Manatee Community College, Bradenton, Florida, and graduated with an Associate of Science Degree in Urban Social Relations. I later attended University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida and majored in Social Work. I have been employed in Dekalb County School System for seventeen years, eleven of which I was a Special Education Paraprofessional. I worked with teenagers and elementary school age children who were identified as Severely Emotionally Behaviorally Disturbed and Autism. After relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, I returned to college years later to complete my degree in Social Work.  After one semester, I changed my major to Education. I realized my calling was to touch the lives of children through enhancing their learning. I graduated Magna Cum Laude, May 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have a Georgia Certification in the area of Early Childhood Education P-5.

I began my professional teaching career as a fifth grade teacher, and my experiences there have been phenomenal. I was blessed to work with veteran teachers who took me under their wings and made my first years of teaching successful. I am a sponsor for Junior Beta Club. I taught fifth grade for three years and this is my second year teaching fourth grade.

I enjoy spending quality time with family, and friends. My hobbies include baking and decorating cakes (from scratch), traveling, watching movies, working crossword puzzles, and listening to music. My favorites include rhythm and blues, oldies, gospel, and jazz.

It is my belief that teaching is a rewarding and challenging profession and an excellent choice to undertake. I am blessed to touch the lives of others and assist them in becoming productive citizens. By pursuing a degree in Curriculum and Technology, I can continue to implement different methods of instruction using technology. The use of Technology is the way of the world. One my goals are to instill in my students the importance, growth, knowledge, and understanding of technology and the impact it has on the world in which we live in.

Computer Technology Reflection

I am an advocate for implementing technology into the classroom. Technology is the way of the world, and in teaching various skills and information related to technology, it prepares today's youth for real world experiences. Computer education should not be viewed as an extra curricular activity, or elective, but incorporated into the curriculum as one of the major course of studies.
